MY INTERNSHIP

Shall I tell you about my work experience?

I’d like to talk about my internship if you don’t mind

1.       The company 

HOW: I found this internship thanks to (friend, a relative, a teacher….)  By myself, by calling the manager/ by sending a CV, an application letter

WHERE: the company is located in Marseille, outside of Marseille… The headquarters are located in…/ thr office is located in the city center, in the suburbs of Marseille….

WHAT: a large company? A medium-sized company / a small company?

WHO:  The staff: number of people employed

           The CEO: a man, a woman, age?

           My supervisor: man/ woman / personality:  (friendly/ welcoming/helpful/supportive/ demanding/strict/invested/ - I got on well with him/her // I didn’t get on well with him/her

I worked closely with my supervisor/ my supervisor let me figure things out for myself

2.       WORKING HOURS

 

I started at … in the morning and finished  at ….

On a typical day, I would start at…. and work until …..

OFFICE: I worked in an office – I shared the office space with…

I was/wasn’t / the only trainee = intern

I worked by myself, with other people 

3.       MY MISSION/MY TASKS

During my internship I carried out a number of tasks:

Examples of tasks: welcome and greet customers/ call customers/ file documents/ wirte and answer emails/ make phone calls/attend meeting/ assist the head accountant

4.       OBERSERVING, EXPERIENCING A PARTICULAR SITUATION

During my internship, I faced some problems

At first, I didn’t know what to do/ how to react

I had trouble (+ING)

 I asked for help

I managed to find a solution/ to solve the problem

( a conflict between…, a mistake I made… a stressful situation… an angry customer… a misunderstanding…) 

5.       SKILLS I DEVELOPED AND THINGS I LEARNT

Thanks to this experience, I was able to develop some skills

I learnt how to… -  I am now better prepared to ….

WORK: autonomous – able to work alone, with a team – communicate with people- work quickly – work under pressure…

PERSONAL: to make decisions – to overcome my shyness – to assert myself – to gain confidence – to face new challenges ….
